We have returned to mainly in-person events (all with limited numbers and you must book in advance) but we continue to offer some events on Zoom for those who feel more comfortable with this option.

Free events and activities

Our events and activities are free to anyone over the age of 18 living in the London Borough of Sutton, who needs support with their mental health.

Wellbeing activities

Our regular wellbeing activities currently include yoga and mindfulness, with new instructors.

Support groups

The Sutton Hearing Voices group and the Sutton OCD Support Group are both taking place in-person.

Information and advice

Each month we organise information and advice sessions on a variety of topics, hosted by ourselves or by relevant external professionals.

New members morning

A chance for people who haven't used the service before to have a look round, meet the staff and generally find out what we can offer.

On the first Friday of each month, 10am - 12pm at Belmont Connect.

Signpost Sutton - Dementia awareness

  • The challenges of living with dementia
  • Further information and support

Regular activities & support groups

We continue to offer a selection of FREE weekly wellbeing activities including Mindfulness and Yoga. We also have our regular support groups - Sutton Hearing Voices group and Sutton OCD support group.

  • Due to limited capacity, some of our activities are reserved for "Members only", for information about becoming a member please get in touch.
  • Booking for weekly activities taking place at Belmont Connect open 7 days in advance.
  • Only 1 person per booking.

Drama group

With Dennis

Drama can be a really good way of building your confidence, exploring issues and expressing yourself. Plus, it's a chance to meet new people and make friends.

Over the weeks we will explore different ways of working, using scripts, improvisation and role play. There’s no pressure, it’s just for fun.

Weekly on Tuesdays 11.30am to 12.30pm.

Retro gaming

Monday afternoons is when we get out the Xbox, the Wii, and the Warhammer and get down to some serious gaming. Board games and other games consoles available.

Mondays 1.30pm to 3.30pm.There will no retro gaming on 28th Oct, 11th & 25th Nov and 2nd & 16th Dec.

Sewing Class & Art Group

This summer, unleash your creativity with our Sewing Class and Art Group.

Held on alternate weeks, on Mondays from 1pm to 2:50pm at Belmont Centre.

Yoga

We now offer 2 different yoga classes - chair yoga and hatha flow yoga. Mats provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water if possible.

Hatha flow yoga - Mondays 11.30am to 12.30pm. Level - intermediate & advanced.

Chair yoga - Tuesdays 10am to 11am. Level - suitable for beginners. Please call 020 8770 0172 to make a booking for Chair yoga.

Indoor tennis

Join Liam from Sutton Tennis & Squash club. Enjoy some gentle cardiovascular exercise while having fun with beanbags and soft balls.

Tuesdays 11.15am to 12pm. 

Art 4 wellbeing

Weekly on Fridays 10:00am to 11:30pm.

Drop in

Unlimited hot drinks £1.00. Tuck shop also available.

Tuesdays 12.15pm to 2.30pm and Thursdays 11:00am to 2:30pm. 

On Thursdays you can also enjoy a game of scrabble or mahjong in a relaxed, friendly environment.

Line dancing

Join Janice from HotShots Line Dance Club for some toe tapping fun.

Thursdays 10am to 11am.

Falun Dafa

Come and trial a new activity. Falun Dafa combines meditation techniques and gentle physical exercise for health and peace of mind.

Tuesdays 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

Supportive Circle

A support group for parents of ASD/ADHD children or adults with mental health concerns.

Every other Thursday 10am to 11.30am.

Music group

Come and join Geoff and others for a fun, musical sing-a-long.

Fridays 11am to 12pm.

Friday drop-in/lunch

Join us for lunch - hot meal £3.50, dessert £1.00, teas/coffees £1.00. Vegetarian option available.

1st Friday of each month we offer Fish and chips, please check on other weeks for the meal choice - vegetable curry, cottage pie, sausage casserole etc.

Fridays 12pm to 2:30pm. Advance booking required by 11am on the day.

Sutton Hearing Voices group

Do you need support with voice hearing?

You do not need a referral to come to the group but we request that you contact Jorden first on admin@smhf.org.uk or 020 8770 0172.
